Tower Of EVIL (Amiga)
An unofficial remake of the game TOWER OF EVIL from the C16, plus4, c64,Z80 to Amiga.
The game: you can get out of the dungeon (level) through portals by collecting the keys, all other objects give you extra energy. If you have collected all four keys, you can open the chest on the first level and then you have to get back to the princess on the fourth level.

Original game by: H.C. SEXTON
Dungeon Of Evil (Tower Of Evil remake - graphic overhaul) Not so long ago we have made a remake of the classic game called Tower Of Evil (original by H.C. Sexton). In that we stayed close to the original as much as possible. Maybe too close. For that the new edition (Dungeon Of Evil) we made comes with some correction. Graphically it's much more appealing but still tue to the original. As the controlls were made the game a "little too" heavy and the Amiga community had suggestions to chane that there is also two new features. - You can hold fire button (that is holding the fireing direction) -Or you can manovering with the joystick and do the shooting with mouse.
Feel free to enjoy!

Did you use an existing programming language or game engine to make this, or is this bare metal coding? The 'platform' says HTML5 and the 'made with' says Unity, but that can't be right.
Hi,
The game was created for the Amiga platform using AMOS Pro (a type of BASIC language) as all of our creations for the Amiga so far (no game engine).
Unfortunately there is no option for tagging Amos as a developer tool when setting up a page like this on itch (it accepts only selections from a dropdown list).
Unity and HTML5 is probably Iisted becouse the header of the site that is made with Unity. While there is no option for add and automaticaly play music on the page (and no option for embeding pic/video/music on the page other than a youtube link) i take the option to make a HTML5 "thing" (made with Unity) that can be put in the top of the page. I put the logo in it with music. (A few of our projects is used this solution.) With that we can have a logo, animations, music, etc.
From that point the site (ITCH) automaticaly tag Unity and HTML as tool and platform. Sorry for the misunderstatement! :)
Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I featured Tower of Evil in the top 100 Amiga homebrews of all time.
I can't get down the stairs in the dungeon version.
Hi,
Collect all (4) items on the stage than you can go to the next stage! There are 4 stages. When you collected all the items on all stages you must return to the chest (on the first stage). Open it. Than you can go to the last stage to free the princess!
I have collected 4 items (key, armour, bag, potion), but I still can't get down the stairs. He just walks right over them. I'm using FA-UAS with A1200 standard settings.
Don't run over it! just stay on the stair for 1sec!
LOL. Yes, I did try that before, but I guess that was before I collected all 4 items. Combine the two, and it does work, thanks.
Nice game, the mouse support is good for this game. I also included it in my new "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from October 2024" video, along with other Amiga games released in October.
Many thanks for this, this is my tribute to your game. If you anyone enjoys the video, a subscribe would be most welcome.
Very nice conversion! Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 02:51:25. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
Hi ! Thank you for this port, much appreciated !
I would really love if a dual-stick support could be added, it would be massively easier to play !
(2 controllers in 2 ports preferably and/or CD32 buttons to shoot in all directions for people who don't have a dual-stick setup :)
Take care !
there is a slim possibility (just maybe) that a joy+mouse control could be arranged!
(simply becouse it is more common to have one/one of those)
Very good new Amiga game. I added it to my latest video "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from September 2024", which also includes all the other recently released Amiga games.
very good
Cool game, thanks for sharing.
