DUEL
A downloadable game
DUEL is a remake of the classic cowboy/shootout games from Z80 machines that (a bit) predates the c64 era. Probably this is why hard to find an Amiga version.
You can move your guy up or down, throw grenades or use a shield and use a mouse to targetting. The game is not complicated and it can be a lot of fun shooting your fellow Amiga user (Player_Vs_Player) into pieces sitting next to you. :) ..or you can fight against the computer (Player_Vs_CPU).
The demo version (adf only) contains:
- a cowboy and an alien!
- a single background
The Full (HDD) version contains:
- 29 characters
-12 backgrounds
WARNING!
No AI generated gfx or music! The game contains digitized sfx and the visuals can resemble variuos franchises. No pixel was harmed during the creation of this game! :D
For the creative ones:
If you can use Deluxe/Personal-Paint (or any equvivalent ) You can create new backgrounds and characters if you follow the "Example.txt" in the zip file.

Very cool little game, even for two players. We particularly liked the many selectable game characters such as Lara Croft, Tron or Robocop, as well as the matching sound samples and the really professional graphics. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 02:44:33. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
Great little game, love the film and movie references as well as the sound effects. Reminds me of the two-player PD style games that used to come with cover disks. Will be carrying out a full a review for ZZAP Amiga very soon!
Game is really fun to play with two player. I also included it in my new "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from October 2024" video, along with other Amiga games released in October.
